lernEducation Programme digest Preamble Logistics has
substantially changed its role
and significance in business for the last two decades. In connection
with
intensification of competition, globalization and sales market
individualization and growing customer requirements to the
quality of logistic service, competence
in
the area of logistics is
becoming
strategic resource, expecting from the staff deeper and various
knowledge.
Nowadays logistics in Educated personnel as
well as properly
constructed base of logistic knowledge are necessary for efficient use
of
leading edge concepts, methods and technologies of logistics and SCM.
But here
it is where not everything is all right. The majority of people,
working in
logistics departments in Russian companies and being on the payroll
logisticians
of different levels do not possess system preparation and specific
education in
logistics, not to mention SCM. Besides the largest deficiency in
knowledge is
demonstrated in top and middle management of logistics, which may
entail
serious consequences for development of business. Gap overcoming between
the quality of personnel
of logistics departments and the quality of their preparation (apart
from
obvious solution to increase the number of colleges in Russia, where
speciality
«Logistics» will be introduced and development of
structures of complementary
education) should be based on diversified system of professional
education in
this field. High requirements to logisticians, to level of professional
knowledge in the sphere of logistics and SCM, the ability to coordinate
work of
adjoining departments, to integrate logistic activity within the whole
delivery
chain determine the necessity to create multistage structure of
preparing and
retraining staff, considering branch and functional specialization of
logisticians.
Unfortunately, but only five Russian colleges are conducting training
courses
in logistics. In 2005 the experiment to approve state educational
standard of
new branch «logistics» ended successfully and one
can hope that approximately
ten colleges will join the process of preparation of logisticians in
2006-2007.However for large Russian market it is a drop in the ocean.
For the
time being
a few commercial teaching
structures are not able to cope with the task of training professional
logisticians,
which in majority fulfill short programmes of improving skills and
short-term
seminars. Nowadays only HSE ICTL
implements the whole
variety of preparing programmes, including second higher education and
MBA
in
speciality 080506
«Logistics and Supply Chain Management» as well as
the
range of exclusive programmes «Executive Logistics
Manager», programmes of

Programme of
professional retraining
and upgrading in
logistics and SCM
(points 6,9,10) , which is implemented nowadays by ICTL subsidiaries,
may be
conducted in central office in Moscow either when sufficient number of
listeners have enrolled wishing to enter these educational programmes as
well as when enough space and human
resources are available. Decision about the beginning of running
each of these programmes is settled
after analysis
of questionnaires and
available resources.

indicated programmes may be sent out by potential listeners
independently from
announced on

ICTL possesses
experience in
implementing corporate programmes of staff training in logistics. In
particular
corporate programmes in logistics, considering branch specificity,
were prepared and fulfilled over
a period from 2001 to 2005 for such companies as Gazprom. Yukos , NK
Rosneft,
Russian Aluminium Management, Kamaz, Sony, Efes Pilsner, Alcatel,
Protek,
Rostselmash, Arhangelsky CBK , Lebedyansky EKZ, Magnitogorsky
metallurgic
combine, Zavoljsky Motor Plant , Schneider Elektric, national logistics
company, Svyaz Inform, Rossipharmacy, Sibkongress, Ursa Eurasia,
Parkethall,
etc. ICTL
receives requests to conduct corporate
educational
programmes in logistics and
SCM. Terms and entrance
procedure to educational programme in ILTC Admission of listeners
to ILTC to recurrent
flow on basic long-term educational programs is conducted twice a year:
autumn
admission (start of group studies during the period of mid-September to
end of
October every year) and winter admission (start of studies in
February-March
every year). Except short-run upgrading programs (72-90 hours), period
of whose
implementation is set by ILTC administration individually, and
programme of
distant learning, which is implemented the whole year long. Starting
period of
recurrent admission is announced on the main web-page of ILTC. To enter ILTC on any
educational programme
during admission period
potential listener
should initially fill in questionnaire and send to ILTC (by e-mail to levina@mclog.ru
Levina Tamara or by fax).
Filling in the questionnaire allows to reserve place in chosen group.
As the
number of places is limited, than if
other things being equal,
preference is given to listener, who sent
questionnaire earlier during including into group into concrete stream. Detailed description of
each educational
programme is given on appropriate pages of ILTC web-site. Additional
explanations on programmes, their cost and terms of study potential
listener
may obtain from manager of client work or from other ILTC personnel,
phoning
ILTC. To obtain additional
information on concrete
educational programme one may send an inquiry to ILTC or send letter to
info@mclog.ru. Choosing educational
programme, listener should
connect with manager on running agreements in order to establish
agreement with
ILTC. One may download from ILTC web-site preliminary formality(sample)
of
agreement. After coordinating by phone or e-mail all questions,
connected with
terms or forming agreement with manager on running agreements, listener
should
by himself arrive to ILTC (office 507), having with himself/herself all
necessary documents for establishing educational agreement. Listener is admitted to
studies in ILTC on
chosen programme only in case of presence of concluded agreement and
made
before start of education payment: per semester – for
long-term (from three
semesters and more) programs; for the whole programme on
one occasion – for short-term programs

After finish of
admission to
recurrent stream potential listeners may apply questionnaires to
educational
programmes of the further stream, not wating for the next admission on
ILTC
web-site. Cost of education and
discounts Cost for education on

is set in roubles for the whole educational period. Price of
